1. Blue-naped Chlorophonia Chlorophonia cyanea, Itatiaia National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 14, 2003.  These stunning little tanagers were common around the Hotel do Ype and would descend in flocks on the fruit-laden bird feeders outside the dining room.

2. Blue-naped Chlorophonia C. cyanea, Itatiaia National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 14, 2003.  Same individual as above. After a good feed at the hotel feeders, these birds would sit quietly in nearby bushes where they were easy to photograph.
